How cute is that!!! I love that little monster and that sentimental is so cute.

I am thinking of getting some more of the other My Lil' Monsters and creating a bunch of these onesie cards!!! The green trim on the onesie, I used Dots and Stripes paper by Echo Park.

A very simple card, but very fun to make!!

Hell everyone-

Sorry I have been MIA all week, but I have NOT been feeling good at all!!

I finally got a virus that has had me in bed and extremely ill since I came back form CHA! YUCK!!!

I haven't had any energy to do anything, but lay in bed and ask that my boys keep the noise level down to about a 3.

This post was suppose to go up on Thursday, but when does blogger do exactly what it is suppose to do. It always seems to be temperamental for me when I'm not feeling my best.

The card I am going t share with you, is using a technique new to me.

Coloring on kraft paper, but with white and black color pencils only.

Jen has an amazing tutorial HERE, if you are interested in giving it a try.

Here is my card:

Not too bad right!! I had to keep the kraft on kraft theme going, so I used MME Funday Everyday Fun paper, which can be found at the All The Scrap Store AND....if you love MME like I do, then you will be happy to know that they have all 8 new sets available right NOW!!! Of course,. my order is not going in til tomorrow, so please save a set for me! LOL!!

Feel the LOVE w/ Henry

Good morning early birds!!

Wow, what a week this has been!!

The cabinets in my scraproom finally got installed, had to move my desk around today, so that I could occupy more floor and wall space. I am trying to maximize this room as much as I possibly can!!! I am in a way smaller room than before and I still lots of sorting to go through!! It all just seems never ending!!

Since it is Sunday, that means that it's time for another Sentimental Sundays Challenge.

This weeks theme is:

FEEL THE LOVE

For this weeks challenge, I decided to do something that I have never ever done before.

I have created a Book Card! I had to translate the measurements, but I think I followed the directions pretty good. Now, I have to say that I can't tell you, nor show you what's inside this box, since it is complete and there's a HUGE surprise for hubby inside. And since he likes to visit from time to time....I can't let the cat out of the bag just yet. I will however, let you all know once he receives this card.

So here is my weeks sample:

I fell in love with this guy, the minute I saw him at the ALL THAT SCRAPS store and new that I had to do something special with him and I think I achieved exactly that!!

I can't wait to show you the rest of this card!!! I think this has to be my best project this year!!!

Lots of stitching, dry embossing, lots of distress ink, lots Maya Road products. Well for the time being, while I make your head spin with the suspense!! LOL!!

CropStop Challenge #56 Sketch/DT

Good morning everyone-

Happy Thursday to you!!!

First of all, I would like to mention that I have been invited to join the wonderful ladies at CropStop Challenge Blog!!! YEAH!!! I was super shocked and delighted at the same time!!!

In speaking with Vicki, who is SUPER sweet and awesome by the way...I made a little mention of CHA and before you knew it, Haylie Jo registered me...I signed up for workshops, booked my hotel and off I went to CHA Anaheim!!!

I had an amazing time...it was a bit tiring, because I overloaded my schedule and had to see everything and meet everyone all three days that I was there!!

So.... I want to tell you about this weeks challenge at Crop Stop. I was SUPER DUPER EXCITED when I saw this sketch from PageMaps!!

And if you haven't seen or heard about the NEW Becky Fleck Page Maps™ dies by Spellbinders, you need to check them out HERE.

This weeks sketch coordinates perfectly with these new dies!! How fun right?!?!?

Well here is this weeks sketch...and for a little added bonus, you MUST incorporate a number somewhere on your layout!!

I love the way this came out!!!

The scalloped border was cut with my Spellbinders Scalloped Square die.

I slightly cut down the center of the paper and did the out of the box technique, so that I could get the scallops straight and evenly spaced!! Pretty clever eh?!? Sorry, I met a lot of people from Canada and they all said "eh" at the end of every sentence, it was pretty funny!!!

Well I am hoping to post pictures later this week....Still waiting to get some back from a few of the girls I met out there from Nebraska...Hi girls!!! They were so much fun to hang out with!! I had a really good time and met many new and incredible people, for which I hope to stay in touch with!!

Sentimental Sundays…Dry Embossing

Hello everyone-

I hope that you are enjoying your Wednesday day and guess what just a few days till the weekend and CHA!!! YEAH!!! It will be my first visit to CHA and I am feeling the excitement among those that will be attending. YEAH!

So on to today’s post.

I have some fantastic news to share with you too!!! I am now a member of ALL THAT SCRAPS Store Design Team!!! Wahoooo!!! I was so excited to get an email from Lesa and Pam, that I ran up and down the stairs several times!!! LOL!!! Really, I wish I could have recorded myself!!! LOL…again. Sentimental Sundays:Die Cuts

Good morning my blogging buddies~

It is so COLD right now...it's 37 degrees outside right now!!

I have my kettle going so that I can prepare myself a cup of my favorite tea right now!!

It's by Teavana and it's called Samurai Chai Mate Tea. I love using loose tea, because you actually see what's in it and the smell and taste is much more intense, more so than tea bags.

So while my water boils, I would like to share with you my creation for this weeks challenge at Sentimental Sundays, which is all about die cuts.

Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I decided to put my Cameo to work. I purchased a file from the file, which is Lori Whitlock's design, but if you don't have a Cameo, this file will also work with the Sure Cuts A Lot program. So I finally had a chance to use the cut and print feature on the Cameo, which is my opinion the greatest thing EVER. I placed the image inside the heart, so I would know how big the image needed to be .... it printed on my computer, placed the printed image back on the mat, cut and WHHHALLAAAA!!!

Look at how cute this cupid is. Ever since being introduced to per-colored images, I think I have picked up a new addiction!!! The colors are so amazing, that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use this image, which was offered to us by The Paper Shelter, who is our sponsor this week!!

Ok...so lets let to the photos:

And this the box opened and ready to be stuffed with chocolate!!! Yummy!!!

I love this die cut and I think that I will be using it a lot. It was very easy to put together and just think of all the possibilities for embellishing a box like this!!! ENDLESS!!

Hi everyone-

Oh....can you hear the pain in my voice!! LOL!!

I am finally getting my little craft room organized and adding some order that will allow me to be productive as productive as I can be!!

So one of my crafty goals this year, is to complete at least 2 layouts per month!!

It does not seem like a lot, but I tend to contemplate too much on my layouts, so it will be a good way for me to just start to get going.

I want to share something special with you.

This is a layout of ALL my sisters!! Yes...ALL my sisters...I am the oldest of five.

The one in the center is the third in of the group and was married two years ago.

Sorry about all the boobies!! 8) Anyhow...she is due to have a baby in a few months and I am excited about being an auntie for the second time. I have two boys of my own, trying to have a girl, but in the meantime I love spoiling my nieces and buying all those cute girly clothes!!! How my heart melts when I see tutu in red with glitter slippers. LOL!!

The art of LOVE

Hello everyone-

I hope that you had a great weekend and are enjoying your Monday thus far.

We are just planning on doing some light cleaning around here...Picking up leaves from the backyard and go grocery shopping!!

Yesterday, I got some crafty time in. It feels really good being in my craft room and siting at a desk!!

Ahhh....no more squatting!! LOL.

So I worked on 4 cards yesterday.....2 are for DT assignments and the other two were just for fun!

I was eager to play with pre-colored images. The thought of just printing an image and putting it on a card was exciting for me and besides, these images were amazingly colored and they printed beautifully. I chose to work with the"Old Truck" digi.

Here is my card for this weeks challenge:

Now remember...I did not color this image. I simply printed it out on my Copic Express paper.

Gorgeous right?!?! Told YA!! LOL!!! The file comes with 3 other colors of the vehicle. I was not able to finish all of the, but if I do, I'll edit the post and add the extra pictures. I also picked up another image that will be awesome for practicing doing doing the pleats.

LiaStampz Guest Designer

Good morning my blogging buddies!!!

Today, Lia Stampz is back and has a brand new challenge for you to take part in. Fun!!! Fun!!

I won a spot for guest designer back in November and I was SUPER excited.

When I got the email from Laura and of course with my exuberant personality, replied….

YES!!! YES…I would LOVE to!! LOL!!! She sent me “Leah Catch a Star” which can be found at the Whimsy Stamps, you can follow the link down below. I had to much fun coloring this card and putting it together.

The patterned paper was a bit on the bright side, so I washed it with a cream watered down paint.

Once it dried I took a cloth and wiped a little of that paint off of the side brackets, just to let some of that gold shine come through!

The image was colored with Copics, then cut it out using Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large (s4-138) using the out of the box technique. Then I colored the back ground with Antique Linen/ Frayed Burlap Distress Inks, then I used a sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs, to finish my card for today's post.

Hello….Hello!!

I am SUPER excited about this blog hop. I know that you have been seeing the new Wryn and Friends images from Tiddly Inks swarming the blogging community. When I saw these images…I just had to get my hands on them….not just one but all 5 of the first set. Today, there were two more released!!! LOL. So I have to get those too!! LOL!!! Anyhow…..Tiddly Inks has opened up this blog hop to all Tiddly Ink lovers, like myself and MANY other out there.

I made and had a card with the new Wryn image, but I had started a little something for my friends using a cut file from My Scrap Chick and I just had to share it, since I LOVE it so much!!! It does fit the theme of the blog hop, because it’s for a friend and it has flowers!!! I colored the edge of her hair and face with chalk, but I think you can see that more in her hair.

Mermaid Fairy

Evening everyone-
I wanted to come on really briefly and share a card that made using one of the new images from ADFD. This image is called Mermaid Fairy. I wish I could afford the entire collection, but I opt on this image.

Here is a close up. I did some major fussy cutting, trying to keep a thin layer of white around the image. Paper piecing was also done to her tail and top. Her head, wings and tail are not adhered to the paper. It is simply just floating sort of speak.

Body, wings and hair were colored using Copics.

The circles were cut out using Spellbinders and pearls were just placed randomly around the image.

This is a very simple card for me, yet I love the look and colors. I wish I could have taken a better picture, because the patterned papers actually have beautiful shimmers.

So I distressed the edges and applied "Snow" around the base and the center base and sprinkled super fine glitter onto, before it dried out. The image was colored with Copics and the snowflake background was cut out using my new Silhouette Cameo-Which I am in LOVE with!!

I just wanted to pop in and share a card that I just finished and will keep as a jump start in this years Christams cards!! LOL!!! I had colored lot of images but I didn’t get around to having the time to putting them all together…so I am a little ahead of the game.

Anyways….This card is using Mo Mannings Little Elf Pipa!!!

I love the fun feeling of this image….Weeeeee!!! LOL!!

I've been practicing on my ethnic skin colors and I think this is the best I have done yet to date!!

Before I leave you, I would like to share a picture of my Yorkie sun bathing:

He is my little (only 3lbs) shadow. Everywhere I go, he follows…even if he’s asleep and he hears me get up, he wakes up and follows me!! He’s the little man of the family!!

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration

How is your Wednesday morning going?

The first week of the year is almost over, can you believe it?!?! I sure can't.

Today, I would like to share a card that I made for my Guest Designer spot on Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Challenge today. This weeks challenge is all about "New Beginnings", "New Year", "New Baby", New Job"....NEW ANYTHING!!!!!

So I decided to go with "New Baby". I chose to use an image by Crissy Armstrong called "Hello World". I knew I had to do something special with this image the moment I saw it. So I paired it with "Fern Log" digi from Make It Crafty. the image I had visioned for these two images, was nothing like it turned out. Lately, I have been working backwards and I am not too happy with myself. I normally pick my papers first, then color my images, but since my craft room is still in books, I am having to do things a little differently.

Either way....I really enjoyed coloring this image and I am pleased with the final results.

The grass and scalloped borders were cut using my Silhouette Cameo.

HAPPY NEW YEAR'S DAY!!!

A brand new year....wow, wow!!!

Did party like rock stars last night? LOL!! We didn't, we stayed home with the boys....ate dinner, had some sweets and played some board games all NIGHT!!! The card itself is very simple, because I got lost in coloring this image and I couldn't find the right patterned paper in my stash that would work well. I do LOVE the way it turned out though, it's bright and cheerful and PERFECT for this day/occasion!!

7 more days!!! Can you believe it?

The time is just flying by so fast!!!

I almost done with my Christmas shopping, just need to by stocking goodies and a few gift cards.

So I'm doing ok, but i still need to wrap and mail a good portion of these gifts!!! ARGH!!

Good morning-

I hope everyone is staying warm, where ever you are.

I just wanted to to pop in and remind you that Sentimental Sundays is having a DT call, that will of course be closing next Sunday. You can get all the details HERE.

I created this card about 3 weeks ago and I figured I better show it, before I forget to share it.

And here is a side shot to show you the layers.
I printed it twice, cut the first one with my spellbinder and then cut the mantle/stocking from the other image and adhered it right on top. I love the way it came out.

I used this amazing sentiment from Ann at Raindrop Echoes called Christmas Sentiments and it can be found HERE. This image reminds me of waking up on Christmas morning and seeing the stocking filled with all sorts of cool stuff. Patrick and I usually pack super cool stuff in our stockings...You know the things a girl really loves....for instance jewelry, gift cards, crispy hundred dollar bills!!!
So these Christmas Sentiments are beautiful and I believe that there are 6 of them, so you can’t go wrong.

BTW....we still go out and by a real Christmas tree, but after paying nearly $70 for a 5 foot tree, I maybe investing in a fake one!!! Is anyone else with me on this topic?

Christmas Traditions w/ Cupcake Craftroom

Good morning everyone-

Today, I have the privilege of being a Guest Designer at Cupcake Craftroom.

They have the cutest collection of Digital Papers and I was fortunate enough to win some (More Krafty' Kard Paper Collection) and after the holidays, I promised Mandy to create something with them...especially since the digital paper are Kraft!!! I LOVE Kraft!!!

So this months theme challenge is:

Christmas Traditions

I made a card that resembles tradition in our home and that is putting up the Christmas tree.

I used a digital image from Mo Manning's called Harry needs a hand.

For the last 3 years my son has been in charge of filling the Christmas tree with all the bows and trimmings; however, this year he will not be alone, he will be joined by his little 2 year old brother. They both share December birthdays (21st and 23rd), so this is a dual-celebratory tradition for them, as well as for our family.

Sentimental Sundays is taking a break for a few weeks to get reorganized and to hold a design team call. We will be back with our challenges on January 1st, 2012, so be sure to check back and see what (and who) is new!

Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone-

I hope that everyone is doing great and ready for some TURKEY tomorrow!!!

Me personally, I love turkey on the day it comes out of the oven. After that, it seems to go dry and doesn't taste the same. Since we have 2 homes to visit tomorrow, I will have TONS of leftovers...which will mean Turkey Pot Pies, and Turkey Soup!!!

So I had a little bit of time to squeeze in a little something for a gift a friend of mine.

I used two images from Tiddly Inks called Minnie's Gift and Lilli Claire-Party Time.

Are they not the cutest things on the block!!!! The one with the black hair is me….LOL!!!

I still need a lot of practice with brown/ethnic skin, but I tried!!!

This is the inside of the card!!! Is that not the coolest!!?!?!?! I learned about this technique from the Holiday Boot Card Boot Camp online class. It was filled with great techniques and fabulous ideas!!!!

I will stamp the sentiment when I’m ready to deliver!!!

Good evening everyone..

Actually it's good morning!!!

Ok, ok....Sorry super excited to get this post up.

So within the last month or so, I have had no time to surf the blogs that I follow, let alone visit the ladies from my DT......All due to the move!! So sorry ladies....but they know I love them.

So with things settling down around here and kind of getting back to normal....I had to get my feet wet again.

I saw that Christy, from Tiddly Inks is having a DT call.
!!!!!!!!!!!OMG.....How could I have missed this!!??!!!!!!!

I have been waiting for this moment for a long time (I was tempted to say all my life, but the wait hasn't quite that long)!!!

So, I am seriously, seriously crossing my fingers that I am not TOOOOOO late, because this will be the 3rd post that is required for the application!!!

I LOVE her stamps and only own two Huggabugg which I love to death and this will be by first Tiddly Ink digi!!

Evening!

Well I have been bugged about this post all day!!!

My son made this card and since I have been teaching him ways to use the distress ink (trying to keep him away from my Copics!!!) he has been bugging me to post it ALL DAY!!!!!

We just got really busy and I hadn't had the chance to do it, til now!!

Sorry!!!

So, he also tried working with a sketch which I was very impressed with and I think Kim, you would be proud!!! Well I hope so!!! LOL!!!

I was very impressed...I guess I'm a better teacher than I thought!! Kudos to me!! LOL!!

So he used Kim's Sketch this week and Papercraft Star, but flipped it.

Just a quick update....The boys finished digging up the backyard.

They covered up the whole(s) and placed chicken wire down on the ground.

It's been a week now and no rabbits have been by to visit my Yorkie!!!

We are attend to lots of yard work here….oh, yeah and trying to find away to keep our neighbors rabbits out of our yard!!! They have several tunnels that are about 2 feet under that separating wall and now my Yorkie has figured out that he doesn’t have to wait for the rabbits, he can go to them!!! LOL!!!

Good morning-

I have been trying to take pictures of this card for the last three days.

It has been really over cast here and it just sucks.

Anywhooo..... I finally had a chance to color, Lil Victorian Steampunk Lolita Evie.

My biggest down fall when it comes to working with my copics, is folds and pleats.

So I have been trying and trying and then my copic cries were answered when the fabulous, Jeanette posted this AMAZING tutorial. So of course, after watching the video I had to give it a try.

After 3 discarded images, this is my final piece.

I have made step cards before, but never a double -sided stair step card.

So for me, this was fun and a bit challenging!!

Here is a close up of my free handed cut pumpkins and my colored image.

I used Meljen's Pumpkin Bumpkin image! I had it colored and wanted to use it last week, but I'm glad that I held off because I managed to fine a sheet of Crate Paper to put this card together.

I have to admit that I am finding it very refreshingly challenge to make cards without all the hassle of having to find embellishments to match....Please don't tell Patrick I said that!! LOL!!!

Is this fancy folding or what?!?!?!
I was on a mission to find a unique folding card, that I was not too familiar with and her it is.
This type of card is called a Spring card!! The reason for the name is because when its pulled out of the envelope, it springs up!! LOL!!! Cute, right! The sentiment was created by our very on Christime....Is that not gorgeous!!! When I saw it, I just had to use it. And if you love it as much as I do, then you can download it for the Sentimental Sundays website!!!

So there you have it folks.
This should be fun seeing all the different folded cards people come up with.

It's time for another Sentimental Sundays Challenge.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and while I was at my moms house using the Internet, I came across these images and sentiments, that were created for this cause by Kellie and Ann at Tickled Pink. Kellie is trying to raise $100 and is selling 3 images and a 9 sentiment pack for $1.00 each!!! Head over there and check them out!!!

So here is my sample card:

I put this card together is under 30 minutes.

Before packing up all my supplies 2 weeks ago, I pulled random items (paper trimmer, tape runner, white/kraft/black cardstock, copics, patterned paper) and stashed it inside my Art Bin box. This card has no embellishments at all….It’s all paper!! I can't believe that I was able to do this!!! I wish I had at least a black pen to doodle like Jen and Lou do.

I wish now that I didn’t put the black under the eyes, because she looks more like a football player than a boxer ready for the good fight!!! ;(

It's Sunday of course, so it's time for another Sentimental Sunday Challenge!!

Before proceeding on with today's post, I want to take a moment and say goodbye, to a woman that I admire, for SOOOOO many reasons!!! I don't know how many times I told her she rocks or how amazing she is...I think like 302 times! Wait that makes it 303 because, I said it again!!! Ann, the creator, the heart of Sentimental Sundays, is saying goodbye to us today. Although it is a bittersweet moment, I know that we will continue to see her amazing contribution to the crafting industry with her fabulous designs.

So, Ann, this card is for you!
I "wish" that all your dreams become reality.

So for my sample today, I colored the image with distress ink, which is way out of my comfort zone.

I see designers like Ann and Chelsea, who make this technique look so easy and beautiful.

Well I have news for you....It's not!! I started working on the card about 3 weeks ago and had to redo the coloring about 10 times!!!! I wish I had taken a picture of all my efforts!! You would be laughing right along with me!!

Well with all the redo's that I had to do, I really like how it came out.
As with everything though, the more you do it, the better you get. This will be a technique I do again.
Just a couple of things to remember and a note to self:
1- Start off with your lightest....you can always make it darker
2- Let the color dry completely before applying another layer of color
3-BE PATIENT!!!! :)

We had some really weird weather yesterday. After 2-3 days of sun, we got rain and thunder.

The rain was very brief, maybe 20 mins or so but, boy how strange, right?!

For this weeks card, I used Autumn Sentiments from Raindrop Echo Designs.

I printed the sentiment on kraft cardstock and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils.

I've been trying to color/practice with my pencils a lot more!! I really like the soft and subtle look that the pencils provide on kraft cardstock.

Oh well, while things were a little quite around here I came in the room and put this card together.

I am really enjoying mixing the Unity Stamps, with Ann's Stamps form Whimsy and a little Tim Holtz. All three offer a little vintage, distress, feel and style. I layered two buttons on top of each other and placed small pearls on top, to cover up the holes!! Not too shabby, eh?!

I really love how this card came together!!

The beautiful butterfly on the card was colored with Copic and then I applied a thin layer of glossy accent and covered it with clear micro beads. Really love the results!

Today I saw my fourteen year old off to his first day of HIGH SCHOOL!!!!

It's another beautiful Sunday here. We spent yesterday afternoon playing ping pong and by the beach. We were waiting to see the dolphins but instead we saw seals...which is still a beautiful scene.

I have been tossing an idea back and forth for sometime now and I need your help in determining whether the idea is even worthwhile.

I would like to start offering a monthly kit of embellishments.

I spend LOADS of cash on embellishments....ribbon, pearls, bling etc!!!

I can never get or have enough....and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I'm looking at companies like Prima, ZVA Creative, Maya Road, Webster...etc.

This will be EMBELLISHMENTS ONLY!!!!

Hi everyone-

Hi everyone-

What a week this has been for me.....

I'm attending summer school and I have NO idea what I was thinking signing up for a 4 week class.

I have homework every night....I spend up to 6 hours a day reading and answering essay questions. The good news is....After today, I have 2 more weeks!!!

AHHHHHHHH!!!

So yesterday....I managed to SQUEEZED in some time to make a card.

I really enjoy making circle cards, so when I saw this weeks Mojo's Sketch, I had to take part in the fun.

Happy Father's Day!!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!!!

I just want to log on really quick and give a quick shout out to all the amazing Fathers out there and I am including single moms who have to play both roles.

I grew up in a single family home, where I didn't even know my father and my mom worked very hard to keep things in a functioning manner.

Then....many years later she married a man....an angel.....the man that I consider to be my FATHER.....MY DAD!!!

He means the absolute world to me!!!!! He is the reason, I am who I am today!!!!!

He was tuff growing up....he was really hard on me....and believe me, sometimes I hated him.

However, being a mother and having kids of my own I understand why he did what he did.....

and it was all because he loved me.

So thank you Daddy for being everything that you are and loving me the way that you do.....
Cause in many ways....I'm just like you!!

I LOVE YOU!!!

Just Because....

Hi everyone-

Ok....so today I made a card using two challenges that are really out of my creative box.

The first challenge is from CAS-ual Fridays. You are to pick three items in a row, kind of like Tic-Tac-Toe. I chose Gems, Dies/Punch, Flowers

The second challenge is a color challenge from The Paper Players, using this color combination:

It's really hard for me to work with color challenges.....I struggle so much with them....but I figured that I would try to do a challenge a month that involves a color challenge....just so i can start creating things differently.

Anyways....here is the card I made.

I'm not sure what i think yet....but it's not too bad.

Oh how the weekends fly!!

We had fantastic weather here yesterday but, we didn't get to enjoy much of it.

I wanted to quickly share a card I made over the weekend.

I am going through my scrap stuff and find loads of things that I have not used in a long time.

Rock -On!!!!

Hello-Hello!!

It's Friday and I am SUPER excited!!! Not for any reason is particular. Just happy it's Friday!!

So yesterday my son had his awards ceremony...And he scored 4 certificates!!!

I am very proud of him, he works hard and I think harder than he has too.

So I wanted to share with you a card I made for him.

I used Papercraft Star Challenge #49 to help me put this card together.

This is pretty darn cool....Sorry for tooting my own horn, but I really like how this came out!!!

The colors and distress inked edges, really give it a cool and edgy look.

The guitar and sentiment are from Unity Stamps KOTM Oct 2009

Sentimental Sundays....Inspired by a song

Good morning-

Today I'm sharing my first card created for Sentimental Sundays.....YEAH!!!!

Today's challenge is to create something that is inspired by a song and you most included a sentiment.

I have to admit.....this was a mind boggling challenge for me. This was my first time creating anything that was inspired from a song. I started out making a layout....but for some reason, I couldn't find the appropriate place to place a sentiment. To top all that off, I couldn't find a sentiment for the layout!!! AHHHHHH.....I was panicking.....I could not be late for my first posting I kept thinking!!!

So sitting there looking at all my stamps on the peg board and the iPod player playing.....BAM!!!

Her voice echoed through the speakers and I saw the stamp stamp set I was going to use.

With the song playing on repeat......This is the card I came up with using Mojo's Monday Sketch #193.

I think the card came out pretty fabulous!!! Wait til you see what the rest of the DT came up with.

You are going to love it and I hope that you find some scrapping time to join us this week.

And I am trying really hard to use my scraps and not leave them lying around unused.

So with that said I made another card using the the round version of Mojo's Sketch!!

I am pretty proud of myself for doing that.....Now if only I can do that every time I have scraps, I wouldn't have so much scrap pieces!!!

Chi Chi Memories....Precious Memories

Good morning everyone-

Today, Chi Chi Memories is introducing Sketch #32 and it will run for the next two weeks.

I rotated the sketch, one click to the right....

I used the sentiment from Happy Carnival digital set on this layout.

I really love how this page came together...it's overall size is 6 1/2 x 61/2, but since I scrapbook on 12 x 12 paper, this will be set right in the middle, or I may decide to offset it somehow...decisions...decisions!! LOL!

I used Summer Days paper and sticker by Echo Park. The crinkle ribbon I bought from Kim Duran from Paper Loves Glue, who has an Etsy Shop full of beautiful colored crinkle ribbon...I think you should check her out. I used the tip of a Zva Creative swirl set, to create the look you see below and small Prima flowers. And ofcourse Spellbinder S4-234.
